Tristan Ramus and James Caan (Chairman HBHC) have built a reputation as pioneering one of the UK's most successful recruitment platforms; Hamilton Bradshaw Human Capital, with a turnover of £323 million. The HBHC group has recently been recognised as number 47 in the top 50 Global staffing companies.
Tristan's companies include DRC Locums Ltd, Eden Brown, HBHC, Resourcing Group, Caritas, Synergy, HBi, Exsurgo, Webrecruit and Gemini across 17 global offices, 535 own employees and 6,100 contractors. A third fund has been released this year for new companies who are looking to share and grow with one of the UK's most dedicated investment funds to the staffing sector.
Trained ACIB (1993), Tristan spent 6 years working with the Federal Bank of the Middle East and then Bank of New York. In 1996 he joined Harrison Willis Group Plc, going through an MBO, followed by a full stock market flotation and then sold to TMP Worldwide. In 1999 Tristan led a management team and raised private equity to form The Trip Group of Companies which was sold via MBO in 2004. Between 2004 and 2006 Tristan was an angel investor with deals done in retail, publishing, leisure and technology before investing into the first Hamilton Bradshaw Private Equity fund of £20 million as well as setting up HCIG (Human Capital Investment Group).
